Where video walls work

LED video walls for every kind of space

An LED video wall is built from modular panels, so it can be sized to the room, stays bright in daylight and has no bezel lines like a wall of TVs. These are the projects we quote most often in Dallas–Fort Worth. New to video walls? Start with our LED video wall guide.

Choosing the right wall

Pixel pitch, size & brightness, explained simply

Pixel pitch is the distance between the LEDs. The closer your audience stands, the smaller the pitch you need. A rough rule: viewing distance in feet is about 8–10 times the pitch in millimeters. A 2.6mm wall looks sharp from around 20–26 feet, while lobbies people walk right up to usually need a finer pitch.

Size and resolution go together. A wider wall with the same pitch has more pixels. We size the wall to your content (16:9 video, slides, signage) and to the room.

Brightness depends on the light around it. Indoor walls usually run far below their maximum, while outdoor and sunny-window walls need much higher brightness to stay readable.

FAQ

LED video wall questions

How much does an LED video wall cost in Dallas?
It depends on the size, pixel pitch, indoor or outdoor rating, mounting, processing and installation conditions. Every wall gets a project-specific quote. Tell us the wall size and room, and we'll come back with options.
What pixel pitch do I need?
Go by how close people will stand. As a rough guide, viewing distance in feet is about 8–10 times the pixel pitch in millimeters. Close-up lobbies and boardrooms need a finer pitch; auditoriums and outdoor signs can use a larger one.
LED video wall or a wall of TVs?
LED walls have no bezel lines, can be built to almost any size and shape, and are much brighter, which matters in rooms with windows or stage lighting. TV walls can cost less for small, dim rooms.
Can you install an outdoor LED display?
Yes. Outdoor displays use weather-rated cabinets and higher brightness. Exterior signs may also need city sign permits, which we account for in the project plan.
Do you install video walls in churches?
Yes. Churches are one of the most common video wall projects we quote. See our church LED lighting & video wall guide.
Can the video wall work with our stage and architectural lighting?
Yes. We often quote the video wall together with stage, house and architectural lighting so everything is designed and controlled as one system.
